This lecture course is for students of the Faculty of Humanities of "Applied Linguistics" department.
The aim of the course is to teach students to be word-conscious, to be able to guess the meaning of words they come across from the meanings of morphemes, to be able to recognise the origin of this or that lexical unit.
First of all, the student should read the lectures carefully. These lectures relate to the firs module and include two topics divided to the lectures. The studentshould read the lectures and answer the questions. The list of the questions student can find down below the lectures.
The questions are made for self-testing. If the student can answer all the questions, it means that the student assimilated information well and the student is ready to take the tests.
The tests show the result of assimilated information.
Tests do not refer to the self-testing, and they show the real result of assimilated material.
